History


This medal was founded by the State Council in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of September 9, 1944, the date of the consolidation of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria.

The medal was conferred upon all foreigners and Bulgarian citizens who had actively participated in the fight against capitalism and fascism in support of the establishment of socialism in Bulgaria.

It was designed by Emil Dobrev and discontinued in 1991.
