In bronze, 29mm, with correct replacement ribbon, very fine.

History


The Medal was instituted by Duke Adolf in Bavaria on August 20th, 1866. It was conferred upon the Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, enlisted men, and non-combat personnel of the Nassau military, who fought with Austria against Prussia, and ultimately fled to Bavaria with the Duke.
