History


The Honour Cross for the 1814-1815 Campaigns was jointly instituted by Heinrich XIII of Reuss-Greiz, Heinrich XLII of Reuss-Schleiz, Heinrich LIX of Reuss-Lobenstein, and Heinrich LI of Reuss-Ebersdorf, and was conferred upon military personnel from the Reuss principalities who fought in the war against France from 1814 to 1815.

The infantry battalion from Reuss was composed of around 900 soldiers.
