History

The Campaign Honour Cross was instituted on June 2, 1816, by Prince Friedrich Günther. It was conferred upon members of the Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt army who had rendered irreproachable service during the Campaign of 1814-1815 against France.

The awards were conferred by surviving personnel by Colonel von Brockenburg. The medals are rare.
