Medal. Silver. 38 mm. By Jean A. Dassier. On the Death of Emperor Peter I,1725. Diakov—unlisted, Reichel 1549 (R3). Laureate, draped and armored bust or Peter r., Order ribbon over his chest / Neptune sitting atop rock, foot on flowing jug, pointing at ships and facing Minerva who sits beside him measuring instruments at her feet, Dassier initials above exergue at left. A few old contact marks. Deep purple-gray. Extremely fine.
