Medal. GOLD. 38.7 mm. 32.5 gm. By C. Meisner. On the Coronation of Paul,1797. Bit M226 (R3), cf. Diakov 243.9, Reichel 2963 (neither lists in Gold). Peruked and uniformed bust of Paul r., signed C.M.F. below / Broad, shaded cross in field. Extremely rare. Some contact marks. Extremely fine.

This medal was awarded to commemorate the coronation of Paul I.

The obverse of the medal translates to "His Majesty Paul I Imperator and Autocrat of all Russias".
