History


This medal was awarded to citizens of the Russian Empire for "their usefulness in the fields of commerce, manufacturing and farming".

The 1846 versions features a mustached Tsar.

The obverse of this medal translates to "BY THE GRACE OF GOD NICHOLAS I EMPEROR AND AUTOCRAT OF ALL RUSSIA" and the reverse translates to "FOR USEFULNESS".
