Large Neck Medal for Zeal. GOLD. 50 mm. By A. Griliches. Bit 1014.A (R2), Diakov 896.4 (R4), Peters 162/a, Sm 832/a. Alexander III head right, initials A.Γ.on truncation / Legend around: ‘ЗA УCEPДIE’ – ‘For Zeal’, braided inner circle,quadruple outer band. Integral loop.

History


This medal was awarded to citizens and military personnel of the Russian Empire for "Zealous service towards the state".

The obverse of this medal translates to "BY THE GRACE OF GOD ALEXANDER III EMPEROR AND AUTOCRAT OF ALL RUSSIAS" and the reverse translates to "FOR ZEAL".
