Constructed of silver gilt, on loop for suspension from its period original neck ribbon with bronze clasp, obverse with leftward-facing profile of Tsar Nicholas II circumscribed by name and title in Russian Cyrillic, reverse with floral design and inscription of “ЗА УСЕРДІЕ” (“For Zeal”), measuring 51.50 mm in diameter, weighing 61.2 grams, in extremely fine condition.
This medal was awarded to citizens and military personnel of the Russian Empire for "displaying exceptional zeal towards the state".
The obverse of this medal translates to "BY THE GRACE OF GOD NICHOLAS II EMPEROR AND AUTOCRAT OF ALL RUSSIAS" and the reverse translates to "FOR ZEAL".
