G.A. Scharffenberg was a Gold- and Silverjeweler in Dresden. He was one of the saxony Hofjuwelier. Scharffenberg made all Royal Saxon Orders, and his name has been seen on a star of the Bavarian Order of St. Michael, made in 1890.
Before the WWI starts, the jeweler began to indent "Scharffenberg" and "Dresden" on the outer stage of the horizontal arms of the Albert Orders badges.
