Award Medal for the Caucasus 1871. Silver, 28.7 mm. Bit 979 (R2), Diakov 776.1 (R3), Peters 150, Sm 722, Werlich 102B, Alexander II head r. Integral loop. Extremely rare, especially so nice

History


This medal was conferred upon members of aristocratic families of the Caucasus who assisted Alexander II and the Czarevich during their travels.

The reverse inscription translates to: “Caucasus 1871”.
