Finely crafted in gold with detailed enamels, measuring 10mm, with only expected enamel contact from use and no enamel loss, cracks, or damage. Fine detailing, extremely fine.
This Order was founded by Catherine the Great. It was at first created as a purely civilian award. It was conferred upon those who served the state for at least 35 years. In addition, it was conferred upon those who had assisted during emergencies, epidemics, or famine, and those who had saved others from danger. It could also be bestowed upon the clergy and to those who had made distinguished contributions to their professions.
The non-Christian version of the badge features a medallion with the likeness of the Russian Imperial Eagle.
