History

This medal is conferred upon Railway Troops soldiers in recognition of at least 10 years of good service. Military recipients must be currently holding the Railway Troops Honour Badge "For Merit" . It is also awarded to civilian staff for contributions to the development of the Railway Troops.

This is a medal of the Ministry of Defence.
