This Order is awarded to naval officers for the successful conduct and organization of operations.
It remained unchanged until after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1992, when the hammer and sickle were removed.
This Order is an updated version of the USSR's Order of Ushakov (see USR107).
The obverse Russian inscription translates to: "Admiral Ushakov".
