History
The Irreproachable Service in the Armed Forces for the KGB Medal was established on January 25, 1958. The III Class medal was conferred upon those who were members of the Armed Forces and the KGB, in recognition of 10 years of service.
The Type II medals were awarded from February 2, 1960 until 1968. From 1968 to 1991, the award reverted to the Type I design. The III Class medal was composed of gold-plated brass.
