History
The Irreproachable Service in the Armed Forces of the USSR Medals awarded by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (MVD) and the Ministry for the Protection of Social Order of the USSR (MOOP) were established in 1958. The III Class medals were awarded for 15 years of service.
The Type II medals were awarded from May 2, 1960 to August 8, 1962. These medals have the Cyrillic letters for MVD and an abbreviation for one of the USSR's fifteen republics at 6 o'clock. The abbrevations would stand for one of the following: Russian SFSR; Ukrainian SSR; Belarus SSR; Moldovan SSR; Lithuanian SSR; Latvian SSR; Estonian SSR; Georgian SSR; Armenian SSR; Azerbaijan SSR; Turkmenistan SSR; Uzbekistan SSR; Kazakhstan SSR; Kyrgyzstan SSR; Tajikistan SSR.
The II Class medal is composed of silver-plated brass, and the central star is gold-plated.
The inscription on the reverse translates to "For 10 Years of Irreproachable Service".
