History

The Irreproachable Service in the Armed Forces of the USSR Medals awarded by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (MVD) and the Ministry for the Protection of Social Order of the USSR (MOOP) were established in 1958. The II Class medals were awarded for 10 years of service.

The Type IV medals were awarded from August 12, 1966 to 1968. There are two variations.

Variation I has the Cyrillic letter for MOOP USSR at the 6 o'clock position. Variation II only has the Cyrillic letters MOOP at 6 o'clock.

The III Class medal is composed of gold plated brass.

The inscription on the reverse translates to "For 10 Years of Irreproachable Service".

In 1968, the Ministry of Protection of Social Order changed its name back to the Ministry in Internal Affairs and the Type I medals were issued again with the MVD USSR inscription on the reverse.
