History


The Bahawalpur-Pakistan Alliance 1947 Medal (Tamgha-e-Itehad Bahawalpur-Pakistan 1947), also known as the Accession to Pakistan Medal, 1947, was established by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi in commemoration of the accession of Bahawalpur to the dominion of Pakistan and the conclusion of the treaty of the union on October 3rd, or 7th, 1947.

The obverse features an Urdu inscription which translates to "By the Grace of God Sadiq Mohammed Abbasi V Ruler of God Gifted Kingdom of Bahawalpur." The reverse features an inscription which translates to "Bahawalpur-Pakistan Union 1947."
