The obverse presents a Type V profile of Sadiq Muhammad Khan V with a fez with a tassel, the reverse presents the state coat of arms with the Arabic inscription.

History

The Civil General Service Medal (Khidmaat Ammah Sadiq Dost) was instituted in 1924 by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi to reward civil servants and state civil employees for faithful service and good conduct.

The Silver Medal features an Arabic inscription on the obverse which translates to "By the Grace of God Sadiq Mohammed Abbasi V ruler of God Gifted Kingdom of Bahawalpur" as well as on the reverse which translates to "General Service for Sincere Friend."

The first issue of this medal (1924-36 or 38) was issued on a 35mm ribbon which had a rainbow effect in the center (blue to white to orange) with blue edges and narrow red stripes.

The second issue was won on a pale green ribbon with central stripes of scarlet red-black-scarlet red.

There may be multiple versions of the Medal which vary by design, but additional research is necessary.
