History

This Order was conferred in recognition of meritorious service. The II Class was awarded to State Officials and State Force Commissioned Officers.

In some cases, this Order was also awarded to British India subjects serving with the Kapurthala State Service, and in outstanding circumstances, it was issued to foreigners.
