The Irreproachable Service in the Armed Forces for the KGB III Class Medal was established on January 25, 1958. This medal was conferred upon those who were members of the Armed Forces and the KGB, in recognition of 10 years of service.
The Type I medals were awarded from January 25, 1958 until May 2, 1960 and then again from 1968 until 1991. The III Class medal is composed of gold-plated brass.
The reverse Russian inscription translates to: "For 10 Years of Irreproachable Service".
