The Development of the Non-Black Earth Region of the RSFSR Medal was instituted in September 30, 1977 by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. This medal was conferred in recognition of participation in long-term agricultural development in the Non-Black Earth Zone of the RSFSR. Approximately 25,000 were awarded.
This medal is composed of brass and measures 32mm. The obverse depicts a tractor tilling in a filed with a building on a background.
The obverse Russian inscription translates to: "For the Development of the Non-Black Earth Region RSFSR".
