Lippe-Schaumburg


Schaumburg-Lippe existed from 1647 to 1946 in Germany. The small state was during this time period a county, principality and a free state. Schaumburg-Lippe was located in the present day state of Lower Saxony.

Schaumburg-Lippe was formed like Lippe Detmold, after the division of Holstein-Schaumburg. In 1777, they reuniting Schaumburg-Lippe with Lippe-Alverdissen.

After the First World War, Schaumburg-Lippe became a Free State within the Weimar Republic. During the Third Reich in Germany several members of the former dynasty Schaumburg-Lippe joined the NSDAP.

After the WWII was these part a occupation zone by the Britain.
